Fludarabine phosphate is a purine nucleoside analog used in chemotherapy.
After administration, it is converted inside the body to its active form (fludarabine triphosphate), which inhibits DNA synthesis, repair, and replication, leading to death of rapidly dividing cancer cells.
It is administered by intravenous (IV) injection under specialist supervision.

Fludarabine Phosphate Injection 10 mg is used for treatment of:

• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)

  • Especially in patients who have not responded to other treatments

• Low-grade Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

• Indolent B-cell lymphomas

• As part of combination chemotherapy regimens

• Conditioning regimens before stem cell transplantation

Common Side Effects

• Nausea and vomiting

• Fatigue

• Fever

• Loss of appetite

• Injection-site reactions

Hematological Side Effects

• Bone marrow suppression

  • Neutropenia (infection risk)

  • Thrombocytopenia (bleeding risk)

  • Anemia

Serious Side Effects

• Severe immunosuppression

  • Opportunistic infections

• Neurotoxicity

  • Confusion, seizures, vision disturbances (high doses)

• Autoimmune hemolytic anemia

• Pulmonary toxicity

• Liver enzyme elevation

Dosage must be determined by an oncologist and adjusted for kidney function.

Typical Adult Dosage (General Reference)

• 25 mg/m² IV once daily

• Given for 5 consecutive days

• Repeated every 28 days

Dose Adjustments

• Required in renal impairment

• Treatment may be delayed or reduced in case of severe myelosuppression or infections
