Description

Description

L-Asparaginase is an enzyme-based chemotherapy medicine used mainly in blood cancers.
It works by depleting the amino acid asparagine from the bloodstream. Leukemic cells (especially in ALL) cannot synthesize asparagine on their own, so depletion leads to inhibition of protein synthesis and cell death.
It is administered by intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection under strict medical supervision.
