LETROLIEVA contains Letrozole, a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which decreases estrogen production in postmenopausal women, slowing the growth of estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells.

Letrozole is used for:

1. Breast cancer in postmenopausal women – early or advanced stage

2. Adjuvant therapy – after surgery to reduce risk of recurrence

3. Metastatic breast cancer – estrogen receptor-positive tumors

4. Sometimes used for ovarian suppression in certain off-label cases

Common side effects:

• Hot flashes

•  Fatigue

•  Joint and muscle pain

•  Nausea

•  Bone thinning (osteoporosis)

Serious side effects:

•  Increased risk of fractures

•  Cardiovascular events (rare)

•  Liver function abnormalities

•  Standard dose: 2.5 mg orally once daily

•  Can be taken with or without food

•  Duration depends on cancer stage and oncologist’s guidance
